Frequently Asked Questions
Start here for attendee basics, tattoo appointments, accessibility, food, contests, and seminars.
What actually happens at a tattoo convention?

Live tattooing by hand-selected artists, local vendors, food, DJs, tattoo contests, entertainment, merch, and a full weekend immersed in tattoo culture.
What should I expect to see?

Tattooing across both sides of the Jupiter campus: ballroom-style booths in Jupiter NEXT, traditional booths at Jupiter Original, and motel-style rooms converted into mini tattoo studios.
Is this event all ages?

Yes. Families and people of all ages are welcome. Guests under 18 cannot get tattooed, and kids 12 and younger get free admission.
Are pets allowed?

Pets are welcome in outdoor areas. Please keep pets leashed and outside indoor tattoo-room areas.
How much is admission?

Admission details for 2027 are still being finalized.
What does admission include?

Admission gets you into the festival grounds, including live tattooing areas, entertainment, vendors, artist booths, contests, and public programming. Tattoos, merch, food, drinks, seminars, and other purchases are paid separately.
Does my ticket go toward the cost of my tattoo?

No. Admission covers entry to VOID Tattoo Fest. Tattoo pricing and payment are handled directly between you and the artist.
Can I buy tickets at the door?

Yes. Door sales will be available during festival hours, unless a specific day sells out.
Do I need an appointment to get tattooed?

Many artists take walk-ups, but booking ahead is recommended if you know who you want to work with.
How do I book with a specific artist?

If you already know who you want to work with, contact that artist directly through their preferred booking method. Artist Instagram links are listed on the Artists page.
How much does a tattoo cost?

Each artist sets their own rates, deposit policy, and payment preferences. Contact the artist directly if you want pricing for a specific piece or appointment.
Do I need a ticket if I have a tattoo appointment?

Yes. A tattoo appointment does not automatically include festival entry. Everyone needs a ticket or pass unless your artist has specifically arranged one for you.
Will there be food on site?

Yes. Hey Love has a full menu at Jupiter NEXT, and food vendors are part of the Jupiter Original footprint.
What accessibility should I know about?

Jupiter NEXT is fully accessible. Jupiter Original is accessible on the ground floor; second-floor hotel rooms are stairs-only.
Can you get tattooed if you are under 18?

No. You must be 18 or older to get tattooed. No exceptions.
What are tattoo contests?

Daily stage contests where artists and collectors show work to a panel of judges. Contest categories and schedule will be announced closer to the event.
What are tattoo seminars?

Seminars are professional education sessions for tattooers, taught by industry experts. Some offerings fulfill Oregon continuing education requirements.
