Types of Volunteer Shifts

Exact jobs vary by day. This is the general shape of the work, so you can pick the kind of help that fits you best.

Street Team and Pre-Event Prep

Help get the word out before the fest with flyering, street team outreach, sticker/coaster/flyer pack assembly, volunteer meetings, and early prep tasks.

Setup, Decor and Signage

Help transform the hotel into VOID: putting up signs and banners, installing decor, prepping rooms, covering floors and porous surfaces, and getting booth areas ready.

Load-In and Supply Support

Help move furniture, supplies, merch, trash cans, sharps containers, and other event materials. Some supply runner roles are best for volunteers with larger vehicles.

Registration, Ticketing and Info

Support check-in, wristbands, ticketing, greeting, maps, wayfinding, and answering basic guest or artist questions at info stations and command areas.

Merch and Inventory

Help set up the merch booth, move and organize inventory, make sales during the event, and count, label, and pack merch during cleanup.

Show Floor and Floater Help

Jump in where needed: greeting, wayfinding, artist support, setup touch-ups, errand running, line flow, and general problem solving throughout the weekend.

Stage and Tattoo Competition

Help with contest signups, stage support, and keeping the tattoo competition flow organized.

Medic and Safety

Qualified first aid, EMT, nurse, or similar volunteers can help support the medic tent and basic safety needs during the event.

Cleanup, Load Out and Strike

Help break down command areas, clean and repair rooms, return supplies, handle rental returns, organize leftover materials, and get VOID loaded out of the hotel.
